Home Town, Woodstock was the venue for this easily located event which featured aspects that catered for people from all corners of the Western Region.

Walking in, I was greeted with immense colour from meticulously placed decorations, as well as, a caravan which dj’s could perform from – this was a very unique factor that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Foodies, apparel creator’s, art connoisseurs and music lovers were all combined, as a platform that oozed positivity was created.

Live acts were the theme of the day, as guests were gathered to see up and coming local artists push their craft on a authentic stage in the centre of the CBD, with the ever present Signal Hill, looming, as a backdrop.

The local lineup feautured the likes of some of Cape Town’s brightest namely; Max Kicks, Rob Vega, Slunking, DK and Yung Suicidal AKA Ja$on. Event curators, Kersti De Beer (SAHARA) and Spencer Santon (Sponz) ran an incredibly smooth ship dealing with, what appeared to be, a never ending influx of curious individuals, who simply could not miss out on the action.

Being blessed with the talent to talk to any naai on earth (thank you, God) I took some time to mingle with people who I wouldn’t usually speak to.

In doing so, I embraced what Kersti believes is how ‘Feelin’ came to be. It is a state of being. An openness to your fellow human being. I believe that the cause behind this event will have extremely positive effects on the culture, as well as, the scene, here in cape town.

Being well received by the public, we cannot wait for another installment of this uniquely styled event that has its community’s best interests in mind.
